Hey everyone, gather around because I have a story to tell. A story filled with laughter, fun, and a touch of chaos. Join me as I recount our mini-trip to Kansas in our trusty Brinkley RV.
RV Shenanigans
Embarking on an RV road trip from Northern Colorado to Central Kansas is like setting off on a quest for adventure—and snacks! The journey begins with a scenic drive through the eastern plains of Colorado, where the mountains wave goodbye as you transition into the flatlands of Kansas. Oh, the joys: overheating tires at 185 degrees, figuring out the nuances of all the bells and whistles of this RV in the blistering Kansas heat, and the endless search for the perfect rest-stop bathroom.

Kansas Adventures
First stop? Darren's sister Lorieta’s farm in Courtland, Kansas! Picture this: rolling hills, open sky as far as you can see, and enough humidity to make you think you just stepped out of the shower.

After a quick game of “what's new, where do you want to sleep, and what's for dinner,” it’s off to a friend’s pheasant farm. Yes, you read that right—a pheasant farm! It’s like a petting zoo but for birds that are way too fancy for their own good.

Next up: Irrigation Ales Brewery! Because nothing says “we survived the farm” like a cold craft beer.
Laughter and Memories
Finally, we roll into Wichita, where family awaits with food, fun, and games. Imagine a potluck where Auntie's famous potato salad competes against Uncle's questionable chili. Two-and-a-half days of catching up with 8 of 12 of my husband's siblings plus their spouses, 17 of his nieces and nephews (about 1/2) plus their spouses and children, and enjoying his one Great-Nephew. You could say it was a full house!! Each night ends with laughter echoing through the house as we engage in epic card game battles—may the best cousin win!

So, here’s to family, farms, and frosty beverages—road trips don’t get much better than this!
