RV Dreams and Bionic Knees

Hey there, fellow adventurers!

Buckle up, because we're sharing more of the thrilling tale of our soon-to-be epic journey in the world of RVs! We can barely contain our excitement as we geared up for a walk-through of the RV model we plan on purchasing next spring. Retirement is knocking on our door next summer, and we're ready to roll!

Now, before you envision two silver-haired individuals ready to shuffle off into the sunset, let's set the record straight. We are younger than the typical retirement age, and we plan on embracing our inner explorers! We've got a youthful spirit just itching to hit the open road and take our adventures across the continent.

Picture this: two kids at heart ready to conquer the highways, with Darren's bionic knee leading the way! Yes, you heard that right. Darren's got a knee surgery countdown coming up in January 2024. It's like we're preparing for an interstellar launch—counting down the days until "Knee-pocalypse" with a mix of excitement and nervous anticipation.

But back to the RV! We've been planning this purchase with the enthusiasm of kids in a candy store. We've researched every make and model, watched endless YouTube videos about RV life, and even joined a community of RV enthusiasts who could talk about tire pressure for hours! We've practically become RV experts ourselves, even though we only set foot in one recently.

And speaking of setting foot inside one—oh boy, our excitement is contagious! We imagine ourselves exploring the most breathtaking landscapes, riding our e-bikes for miles, camping under the stars, and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Not to mention the countless games of "I Spy" and the questionable yet delightful meals cooked on a portable grill!

Imagine us, strolling through the Brinkley Z3100, wide-eyed like kids in a toy store. We examined every nook and cranny, opening cabinets with the anticipation of finding buried treasure (okay, maybe just the perfect storage solution). Hopping in and out of the bed, testing the coziness level, and probably getting some strange looks from the RV dealer!

"You’ve done your research," he said, yet puzzled by our fervent enthusiasm. "We might be newbies to the RV world," we replied with a grin, "but we're seasoned experts in excitement!"

As we count down the days until our RV adventure begins, we're filled with a sense of wonder and anticipation. Our dreams are big, our spirits are high, and our GPS is primed for some serious memory-making. Retirement is merely the start of a new chapter—one where we'll be trading the dreaded 9 to 5 (or 7a to 10p for Darren) for scenic drives and new experiences at every turn.
