Adventures at the Brinkley RV Rally

September 2024: Hey there, fellow travelers and adventurers! We've just wrapped up our first-ever RV rally with the amazing Brinkley RV community, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride (literally, because RVs do sway a bit on those mountain roads)!

Our journey took us from our cozy spot at the lake house to Granby, Colorado, a mere three hours away but a world apart in terms of scenery and camaraderie. Picture this: 67 other Brinkley owners, all gathered for a weekend of fun that could rival any summer camp for grown-ups.

The lineup of activities was as diverse as it was entertaining. We kicked things off with a lively Wine & Whiskey Meet & Greet, where stories flowed as freely as the drinks. Ever thought a tank cleaning seminar could be exciting? Well, it was—trust me, there were some serious tank-talking pros among us!

Then there was the pontoon adventure on the sparkling waters, mountain hikes that left us breathless in more ways than one, and bike rides through scenery straight out of a postcard. The pot-luck dinners were a culinary adventure in themselves, with each RV bringing its own flavors to the table.

Mornings started with energizing workouts (some of us more enthusiastic than others—thank you, coffee!), followed by intense corn-hole tournaments that were fiercely competitive and hilarious at the same time. And let's not forget our cosmic journey—Saturn and night sky viewing with telescopes that could probably spot a shooting star's freckles!

In between all this action, some managed to squeeze in some artistic flair with cookie decorating (and tasting, of course—who knew RVers were such culinary artists?) and others opened up their homes-on-wheels for an RV open-house that was like MTV Cribs meets Tiny House Nation.

One of the highlights was our day trip to Winter Park, where we got to spend quality time and share a hearty lunch with our son, who serves as a local police officer—a true hero in our eyes.

The entire area was a sight to behold. Warm, sunny days made for perfect outdoor adventures, while the nights were crisp and clear, ideal for cozying up around fire pits and swapping stories under the stars.

All in all, our first Brinkley RV Rally was a blast. It's moments like these that remind us why we hit the road in the first place—to explore, connect, and create memories that are as big as the landscapes we travel through.
